Abstract
:
Gilles Clément is world-famous for having invented the "planetary garden", where everything has its place: plants; animals; and even what are usually considered "accidents of nature". Is this not the very essence of nature ‹ the long inter-related chain which we feel compelled to both understand and to tame. In this latest book, the garden "wizard" offers an equally original treatment of clouds. He is particularly interested in the relationships between gardeners and meteorites. In fact, of all the phenomena in nature, meteorology is the one which remains beyond our grasp, that we humans cannot manipulate as we like. The author argues that anyone who gives up fighting against nature soon discovers the advantages that come from each of the states of nature. Which means that there is no such thing as "bad" weather for those who have learned to welcome it!
